Joey Gallo is an icon among MLB The Show players. He always has outstanding power and a swing many players can time very well. That all started with his Live Series card in MLB 18 The Show. Because power was king and the only hitting stat that mattered, Joey Gallo became everyone’s favorite budget beast.

Gallo’s final overall was a 76 with 93 power vs LHP and 99 power vs RHP. He had sub-50 contact vs lefties and righties with just 15 vision, but again, power is the only meaningful number here. Gallo could play all three outfield positions and both corner infield spots. People were unironically using Gallo’s silver Live series card over some of the Immortals in their endgame god squad. It was just one of the many quirks of MLB The Show 18’s game design. For those who didn’t have the time or money to unlock any Immortals, you could always fall back on Joey Gallo to provide a similar performance.
