Multiple content creators and social media sources are reporting a glitch that makes College Football 25's recent screwup look mild by comparison. Well-known Madden YouTubers including Zirksee and The Actual CC are reporting that some players have been able to download and play Madden 25, which doesn't officially release until Aug.16. Editor's Note: Leak confirmed. Someone was streaming Madden 25 franchise content and Twitch has removed it at the copyright holder's request. Aug. 3 7:14 pm CT

Playing a game two weeks before it is supposed to be out, despite what you might think, is not necessarily the best experience. That's especially true of a multiplayer game such as Madden. Players are reporting the experience looks not unlike the Madden 25 beta, with missing card art on Ultimate Team players. They are also reporting a lot of crashes because again, this game is not supposed to be out yet.

Games getting into the wild early is a phenomenon that dates back decades. In the old days of physical copies, 7-Eleven was notorious for breaking street dates. After all, the person working the front counter of a convenience store is not guaranteed to be a video game retail expert. I once nearly got an Xbox One copy of Dead Rising a few days before launch at another store. An eagle-eyed electronics department employee stopped me from doing anything stupid.

I shared that anecdote to tell you this. If you have Madden 25, you know you're not supposed to yet. Don't share footage of gameplay details online, you risk both your YouTube channel and your Madden account. I'm only sharing what I'm sharing because we cover sports gaming news and this is the definition of that.

Oh, and if you are an Ultimate Team player, for the love of John Madden, do not spend any money. Nothing done in the game state at this stage would be guaranteed to survive the game's actual launch at early release. The College Football 25 glitch I reported on was different. CFB 25 had actually launched, pack odds for a certain pack in the store were just way better than they were ever intended to be.
