Chicago White Sox

Jermaine Dye

Jermaine Dye might not seem like an obvious pick to be a new legend for the White Sox. Dye played in parts of 14 MLB seasons, batting .274/.338/.488 with a 111 OPS+. Dye spent five of those seasons with the White Sox where he had arguably his most productive seasons with the bat. But why Jermaine Dye over another and more famous White Sox legend like Nellie Fox?

That’s because Dye won the World Series MVP in 2005. Dye went insane during the ‘05 World Series, racking up seven hits, including a home run, in just 19 plate appearances. He was also very good during the regular season as he hit .274/.333/.512 with 31 home runs. Because of his heroics in the World Series, Dye definitely deserves an Awards card if he was introduced to MLB The Show 24.
