The sports video game community has one thing on its mind this year: the return of EA Sports College Football. Fans can't wait to dive back into the world of NCAA football for the first time in over a decade.

We finally got a logo reveal, release window and full reveal announcement on Feb. 15. We now know the next entry in the beloved franchise will be called College Football 25. ESPN's Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be doing commentary in-game, alongside the company's Kevin Conners, Jesse Palmer and David Pollack. Fans still await more information to see how much of the full College Gameday experience is added to the new game.

Part of the hype and anticipation building each year for EA Sports games, let alone any sports video game, is who will be the cover star. EA Sports hasn't revealed a cover athlete yet for College Football 25, but that's not stopping anyone from creating custom covers. Even the New York Jets got in on the fun.

Check it out.

Of course, the Jets celebrated their premier rookie draft class (minus Jermaine Johnson II) from 2022. Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall have been franchise favorites and studs on the field since being drafted. Johnson II has been as well, but maybe there just wasn't enough room on the cover. Dual covers with their offensive and defensive studs could've been a better option.

The Jets custom cover shows the kind of potential EA Sports have here to hit a home run. There's numerous directions the developer can go in as well. Celebrating the biggest names in college today should be a no-brainer, but when special editions come to mind there's some real fun to be had. Imagine doing a National Championship edition each year where the winning college is celebrated in a full team photo? Or, a special cover featuring a big name coach like Primetime Deion Sanders?

The entire NFL should get in on the custom cover craze and throw EA Sports some good ideas.
