If you are among the many people who consider Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit to be that franchise's pinnacle, EA and Criterion have an update for you. Need for Speed Unbound Vol. 8 brings back the cops vs robbers feel that made Hot Pursuit one of the best racers ever.

Police will deploy spike strips, EMPs and the ESF battering ram to stop those crazy Need for Speed racers. Players will start with a basic car and as they encourage more drivers to step out of the vehicle, they will unlock better equipment until they are the automotive equivalent of the T-1000.

Players will have access to nine different cop customs including international designs from the UK, Germany, and Japan with two more customs available through the Premium Speed Pass. Because all games in 2024 must have some form of battle pass.

Two speedy new rides join the party: the Porsche 959 S 87 and the Lotus Evija 23. Lakeshore will never be the same.

EA put NFS back under the loving care of Criterion Games in 2020. Criterion developed Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit, two of the best games in the lengthy racing franchise's history. Criterion is also well-known for the Burnout games. They will always have a special place in my heart. First for being incredible games, and also hitting around the time my kids got into video games. Unbound is available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The Palace Edition is available through EA Play Pro.
