Every year, it feels like San Diego Studios, the developers behind MLB The Show, forget some MLB players exist. Early in the year, they might give a player a decent card but never give them a better version later in the season, even if they deserve it. Other times, they seemingly outright forget a player had a great year but don't give them any recognition via something like a Finest or Monthly Award card.

SDS released their last card for MLB The Show 23, giving everyone a free 99 overall Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as he was announced as the game's next cover athlete. Since the game will be released in just over a month, there aren't going to be any new updates for MLB The Show 23. But plenty of players never got their just dues in the game. I'm sure many players were let down by this, so let's give some spotlight to those players, and hopefully, MLB The Show 24 will rectify some of these players.
