Gerrit Cole finally captured that elusive Cy Young award in 2023 as the ace atop the New York Yankees rotation. 2023 was an extremely disappointing season for the Yankees missing out on the postseason with an 82-80 record. Though, Cole had his best season yet in pinstripes leading the American League in ERA, innings pitched, WHIP and ERA+. He finished 15-4 and also earned his third straight All-Star appearance. Cole should be in the top three when it comes to overall Yankees, but he'll be the highest rated starting pitcher in the AL East easily.
