Speed kills, especially in the forms of 92 overall cards that aren't supposed to be released yet. A challenge in Madden 25 accidentally gave out a 92 overall Tyreek Hill Madden Ultimate Team card with an insane 96 speed.

How accidentally? The notes alongside the solo literally said it was not supposed to be out yet.

"Enter this challenge to test any in-game 6 vs 6 functionality. This test challenge should never be visible to Prod (Product) users. If it is, please contact Designers immediately."

Thousands of product users saw it, and instead of contacting designers they made YouTube videos, ranked up and made millions of coins on the MUT market. Making matters worse, the solos could be repeated, granting another 92 overall card.

As is the case with most glitches of this magnitude, it was patched quickly. But in even 45 minutes time, a lot of damage was done.

People won ranked matches unfairly, made lots of coins, and set their teams up for long-term success simply by being on social media at the right time. Ultimate Team modes already reward those willing to spend way too much money and time with the mode. Glitches like this only widen the gap between the game's haves and have-nots.

EA is aware of the problems caused, and took to X to explain what steps it will take to remedy them:

That takes care of anybody who held onto the card. But it doesn't do anything for people who sold these cards multiple times. GameSided will keep you posted on how all this shakes out.
