Madden 25 gave Kyler Murray a 77 OVR and had him using the wrong hand

If it's in the game, it's in the game, except when it really isn't.

Man, who at EA Sports hates the Arizona Cardinals so badly? They made a Marvin Harrison Jr. that does not look human. Also, they gave Kyler Murray, one of the most dynamic players in the game, a 77 overall rating.

Not only that, they had him passing with his left hand initially. Murray is a righty. Somebody's supposed to be keeping up with little things like quarterback handedness, right? If it's in the game, and all that.

Are we sure Kirk Cousins, an 84, is that much better than Kyler Murray? If so, why did the Vikings decide it was time to draft his replacement? The Falcons paid him, and then they drafted a replacement. The Cardinals looked like an entirely different team once he retook the field after missing most of the 2023-24 season due to injury.

Arizona averaged 289.7 yards per game without Murray, which was 26th out of 32 teams. When he returned, they moved up to 362.8 yards per game, moving them into 9th place. I can't wait until the regular season starts so Kyler can correct all this slander.

Madden 25 updates player ratings as the season goes on, even adding or removing features such as X-Factors and superstar abilities if an athlete's play warrants that. I give EA and Madden a lot of grief (and they earn it) but that's a good feature. They also update playbooks with some of the plays that are changing the game.

That said, we still don't have the Philadelphia Eagles' Tush Push, or the Brotherly Shove, if you prefer to call it that. I'm excited to see what beauty Murray throwing to Harrison will create in the Cardinals offense.

Madden 25 and College Football 25 are out. Real life college football happened this weekend, and the NFL season is almost upon us. With all apologies to Christmas, I consider this the most wonderful time of the year.
