Game Pass is one of the best reasons to own an Xbox, offering more than 100 games for players to check out. It includes many day-one releases, such as MLB The Show 24 and the upcoming prequel Gears of War: E-Day.

Sadly, EA Sports Madden NFL 25 won't be one of them. It is available on PC with EA Play Pro. That's an even better deal because the PC version will be on par with the console versions. The PC version will also feature the Fieldsense system and Boom Tech, named after Coach John Madden's signature catchphrase.

Of course, I went for the Deluxe Edition, so I've been playing for a couple of days. I can say the physics really do feel right so far. I use the Ravens, who just signed bruising runner Derrick Henry. Any tackle attempt that doesn't hit him square bounces right off him, just as it would in real life.

You can get 10 hours of free Madden 25 with an EA Play membership, which will give access to all game modes. Your progress in those game modes will carry over if you decide to purchase the full version.

Madden 25 officially releases Aug. 16, but will be playable starting Aug. 15 at 11 p.m. CT. It's available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The last-gen versions will not feature Fieldsense, Boom Tech and several other features available on current gen.
