How to unlock Ultimate Boom Christian Watson in MUT

There's always pressure to open your wallet in Madden Ultimate Team. And hey, cracking open packs is its own kind of fun. But those who want to go no money spent can find some hidden gems. The Ultimate Boom challenges in MUT have a brand new free card that's worth a spot on your squad.

Just for doing these challenges, you can unlock a free 83 overall version of rising Green Bay Packers star Christian Watson. He boasts 85 speed, 84 deep route running and 84 jump ability. Since Madden 25's defenders currently tackle like they're playing flag football, this card is going to be a serious problem.

Watson is in the Ultimate Boom section of challenges, which you unlock after getting 80 stars in the initial Season of Boom challenges. You'll need 12 Ultimate Boom starts to unlock Watson. An 85 speed wide receiver should be still relevant for a couple of weeks. Again, Madden 25 is not the most defensive game in the world at launch. Watson should still be sneaking into the end zone well into September.

I'm hearing reports that Watson is not unlocking for some people even after getting the required stars. MUT's launch has not been a smooth one, so I am not surprised. I would still do the challenges. EA will probably have to issue some make-good cards as a form of apology for this launch, so we might as well jump through the hoops to earn them.
