FC 25 gives struggling Manchester winger Antony a brutal stat
By Brian Allen
Manchester hasn't gotten the best return on its huge investment in Antony. He scored one Premier League goal and had one assist last season. FC 25 has noticed his struggles, and his Ultimate Team card represents that.
FC 25 has hit Antony with a one-star weak foot rating, a stat so low it is typically reserved for goalkeepers. Only 35 players in the outfield received a one-star weak foot. He does still have a gold card, rated at 77. He's lost six shooting, five dribbling, and three defending points. He started FC 24 with an Ultimate Team card rated at 81.
I guess if there's a positive, he'll be a good card for events that restrict how high your overall team can be. He still sports some decent skill moves, after all. EA Sports FC will dynamically update ratings throughout the year, so if Antony regains his superstar form he'll get a better card during the season.
If not, well he made a whole bunch of money. In addition to his on-field struggles, his former girlfriend accused him of domestic violence. Brazilian police cleared him of the charges, but that's not great publicity. Rumors are swirling that Manchester United and Antony are both ready to move on and who could blame either party?
EA Sports FC 25 has a lot of big changes, including a new 5vs5 mode called Rush. It will appear in all the game's modes in some form. More than 50 new player roles will determine how players act with and without the ball.
Perhaps my favorite improvement is a special storage area to put duplicate cards into Squad Building Challenges. Sorting those cards was always a pain, and I ended up discarding a lot of them so I could actually get back to playing the game.
