One of the biggest problems with Madden 25's launches has been the rollout of rewards for the Rookie Premiere and Ultimate Alumni programs. These were designed to reward players who participated in Ultimate Team in both Madden 24 and College Football 25.

EA promised these would be ready shortly after the game's August launch. But lots of people either didn't get them or got them so long after launch that there are much better cards already available in game.

It has been yet another black eye for the much-maligned yet incredibly profitable card-collecting mode. The Rookie Premiere program was especially embarrassing as it requires players to collect cards incoming NFL rookies in Madden 24 to receive new copies in Madden 25.

The process tends to be an expensive one. Many players finance it by selling off their entire squad from the previous year's game since the new one is coming out soon anyway. It's well worth it to get a full squad of highly ranked players at the start of a new MUT season. But when the rollout is delayed, EA ends up having to make things right.

EA has announced its plans to hopefully appease an angry fanbase. Here are the details, per Madden NFL Direct:

We have created brand new Ultimate Alumni items at a higher OVR that will still feature Saquon Barkley, Myles Garrett, and Josh Allen-Hines.

If you completed any of the following in College Football 25 Ultimate Team during the Ultimate Alumni program, you will be receiving:

Users who logged in during Ultimate Alumni will receive:

• 1x Fantasy Pack containing choose 1 of 3 82 OVR BND UA players

• 1x Game Time Pack

Users who logged in during Ultimate Alumni and Achieved 40 Stars in Ultimate Alumni Challenges will receive:

• 2x Fantasy Pack containing choose 1 of 3 82 OVR BND UA players

• 2x Game Time Pack

Users who logged in during Ultimate Alumni and Achieved both 40 & 70 Stars in the Ultimate Alumni Challenges will receive:

• 3x Fantasy Pack containing choose 1 of 3 82 OVR BND UA players

• 1x Fantasy Pack containing choose 1 of 3 87 OVR BND UA players

• 2x Game Time Pack

• 1x Game Time Fantasy Pack

Achieved Level 20 in College Ultimate Team, but did not receive the Ultimate Alumni Season XP MUT Tip:

• XP Token for Season 2

◦ This XP Token will provide 116K XP for Season 2 and we will have a new set available.

Rookie Premiere

Much like Ultimate Alumni, we have created new Rookie Premiere items at a higher OVR that features the same players from Rookie Premiere.

Logged into Rookie Premiere during Madden NFL 24 and received the Puka Nacua:

• 84 OVR BND Puka Nacua

Note: You will also be receiving the 32 Team Chemistry Token if you earned it through the Field Pass or via the store in Madden NFL 24.

Completed a Rookie Premiere Set in Madden NFL 24:

• 1 Set Completed: 1x 87 OVR BND Rookie Premiere Fantasy Pack

• 2 Set Completed: 2x 87 OVR BND Rookie Premiere Fantasy Pack

• 3 Set Completed: 3x 87 OVR BND Rookie Premiere Fantasy Pack

These rewards sound good, but how good they are and how happy people will be depends on how quickly EA can get them to customers. Let's remember, a delay in getting them out is what started this whole mess to begin with.
