The game’s first expansion pack is out in two weeks.
Konami has divulged some more juicy details on the upcoming downloadable expansion pack for Metal Gear Solid Online; the multiplayer component to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
“Cloaked in Silence”, slated for release on March 15th, is a multiplayer expansion which includes three new maps – Coral Complex, Rust Palace and Azure Mountain – as well as the ability to play them as Quiet; the silent sniper who made her first appearance in the original campaign for The Phantom Pain.
Also included in the expansion is a new mode which will be available to players in Metal Gear Online by April 7th. “Survival” sees players compete for the highest win streak to achieve rewards. Whilst all this content is permanently available to those who buy the DLC, the new maps can be played for free in survival matches up to ten times a week, with a reset every Tuesday.
Quiet was teased as a playable character about a month ago, but Konami has finally given us some concrete details on what to expect from this upcoming slate of DLC.
Metal Gear Online is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 via Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
