#2 – The Wolf Among Us
When the dust settled on the success of The Walking Dead: Season One, Telltale didn’t rest on their laurels for long, releasing The Wolf Among Us‘ first episode towards the end of 2013. The game was centered around the character of Sheriff Bigby Wolf, and his quest to uncover the truth behind a Fabletown murder.
Set in the Fables universe, Telltale captured the spirit of the comics perfectly. The detective-based narrative offered something different to what came before it, and the gameplay included the popular Player Choices mechanic that was introduced in The Walking Dead: Season One.
Despite a disappointing episode four in which the game’s run-time barely hit an hour, the rest of the series never missed a beat, resulting in a climactic finale that opened up potential avenues for a sequel.
