Morning DLC: Video Game News & Rumors 2/22/2016
"Halo’s iconic and beloved Arbiter joins the Killer Instinct universe, adding the elite alien warrior to the cast of fighters in Killer Instinct: Season 3 for Xbox One and Windows 10, coming March 2016."
As neat as it is to remind people that Killer Instinct is returning next month with an excellent character from Halo joining the ranks, not having Keith David on board is a huge bummer. I’ve been a fan of Phil LaMarr for longer, but David brings a menacing strength to the role that cannot be matched. Hopefully, that stage isn’t too busy for the Xbox One’s computational power and remains at a solid 60 FPS.
With a new Zero Escape game coming later this year, it makes perfect sense to pair in an Escape Room puzzle game as party of the festivities. We still don’t have a lot of information surrounding Zero Time Dilemma, so it is quite possible that those with a cunning mind, imagination and dedication can uncover information about the project during their escape.
Whatever could this mean? Hideki Kamiya, a man who often blocks fans on his timeline for asking dumb/repeated questions online, has started more and more to use the Twitter poll functions to ask questions of his fans. Hopefully, this “collaboration” is met within the confines of a character action video game, as PlatinumGames has been excellent in carrying the genre into the 2010’s.
Thankfully, the DmC option is not available for public vote, a sure sign that Kamiya would have been trolling us from the get-go.
