GameSided’s Top 10 Game of the Year 2015 List
Game of the Year 2015 – #3 Fallout 4 (135 points – one 1st place vote, three total votes)
Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
A game near half a decade in the making, Fallout 4 excelled at reaching insane expectations demanded by its players. In those expectations lie dozens upon dozens of hours to explore, navigate, terrorize, protect, communicate, fornicate, synthesize and terrorize, all in noble and nefarious purposes.
There are so many options available to Fallout 4 players. A new base-building system lets your create your own hangout, complete optional to the main story. Weapons can be customized and modified in order to optmize and tailor to your playing style. While at a sacrifice to the expanded narrative, the game contains over 111,000 lines of dialogue, adding a rich story branch that makes interaction with the common man and woman feel more immersed.
The revamped S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system, which provides perk options based on its 1-10 level, adds an extra layer of depth to player customization and player mindset. While almost impossible to play passively, the option to role play as a cannibal, vampire or other creatures based on look, weapons used and skills acquired is immeasurably appreciated in the year 2015. Finally, thirteen total companions, most of which can be romantically linked, can be optimized to complement your specific skill sets.
Fallout 4 lets you do a comfortable amount of “Fallout” things in a grand package.
