Game of the Year #10 – The Witcher 3

Jam packed with content. A map larger than the largest game on all of last generation. Branching side quests that take on narratives of their own outside of the main story. The Witcher 3 is a game that is obviously three steps beyond its predecessors. With multitudes of endings and an entire living breathing world that grows as you walk through it, the Witcher 3 is a true achievement for CD Projekt Red as they bring their story of Geralt to what is seemingly a close.

I really enjoyed my time with The Witcher 3, but there was so much stuff to do that seemed largely irrelevant to a person like me. With such little time to play, I do not imagine I was able to give this game the amount of time it required to get the most out of it. There were just other games I could get in and out of much quicker with the same amount of appreciation. For that, The Witcher 3 is no. 10 on my game of the year list.
