#43 – Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Developer: Big Ape Productions
Publisher: LucasArts
Release Date: April 30, 1999
The official tie-in game to the film of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, this title was an in-depth action-adventure game that offered the ability to play through a variety of levels from the film of the same name.
Sporting awkward controls and camera angles, The Phantom Menace allowed players to control a variety of characters from the film throughout different locations such as Tatooine and Gungan City.
Ultimately, The Phantom Menace failed to reach its potential because of average gameplay and uninspired graphics. Still, that didn’t stop it from becoming a bestselling title in the UK.
