#8 – Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Publisher: LucasArts

Release Date: December 6, 2004

The second iteration in the ultra-popular Knights Of The Old Republic series may have come in for slight criticism from those who hoped that it would somehow top the incredible experience of the first game, yet it remains as one of the very best Star Wars games ever made.

Although Star Wars: KOTOR II didn’t implement any major changes to the series, it did make improvements to improve the user experience, including an upgraded party system and a cleaner interface. Other gameplay alterations included new force powers, unarmed combat, and prestige classes.

Notably, Obsidian Entertainment took over development from BioWare for this iteration of the series, and did an excellent job at providing a polished sequel that featured an engaging story.
