Star Wars Battlefront II built off the solid frameworks of the first game in the series, adding a vast amount of content in order to make battles more varied and expansive.
Battlefront II also introduced a new and more engaging style of campaign, featuring eighteen missions. The addition of Hero and Villain characters was a particular highlight, finally allowing players to control their most beloved stars from the Star Wars film series, including Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The game also introduced space battles for the first time.
Battlefront II’s gameplay was primarily focused on multiplayer action, and critics praised the game for its variety in this area. Holding an 84/100 score (PlayStation 2), Battlefront II is the highest-rated Battlefront game to date on Metacritic, and the highest ranking Battlefront title on our list.
