#38 – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Developer: LucasArts
Publisher: LucasArts, Aspyr
Release Date: October 26, 2010
The Force Unleashed II’s potential was sky high, but the game ultimately failed to offer the experience that many had anticipated. As players assumed the role of Starkiller once again, the game introduced new features such as the ability to wield dual lightsabers.
In particular, the game’s short length and poor story were criticized. Although The Force Unleashed II featured numerous gameplay innovations, combat was fairly unchanged, retaining its repetitive nature.
Ultimately, The Force Unleashed II wasn’t a bad game, but it didn’t manage to implement the features that would have elevated the series to the next level.
