#39 – Star Wars: X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter
Developer: Totally Games
Publisher: LucasArts
Release Date: 30 April, 1997
The penultimate game in this flight combat series, Star Wars: X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter was truly unique. The game required the use of a joystick and contained no single player elements at all.
While the later addition of an expansion pack added a single player campaign, X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter was primarily focused around its multiplayer options which offered up to eight-player games over a variety of modes.
The game was developed in a small window of just 14 months, and is generally seen as the weakest game of this highly-rated series.
