Celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, Ace Combat 7 will be available on PS4-exclusive with PS VR capability. No release dates or details were given, though it’s nice to see Ace Combat move back to the PlayStation after its last title, Ace Combat 6, was an Xbox 360-exclusive. No further details or release dates were offered, though we can certainly look forward to more info in the coming year.

Ace Combat 7 with VR capability heralds the upcoming generation of Triple A games that will use such functionality. As VR technology is made better, more and more franchises will certainly offer the option and we may end up seeing VR-exclusive titles for big names. Hopefully VR quickly becomes an affordable option for more players. Titles like Ace Combat 7 will help speed the process along as demand grows.
