PSX 2015: Yakuza Zero Coming To The West
At today’s PSX conference, it was revealed that Yakuza Zero will indeed be making its way west. First revealed in August of last year for Japan only, a Chinese-language version was later released earlier this year. The game was praised in both regions, and was widely regarded as the best in the Yakuza series thus far. In addition, we learned that Yakuza 5 for PS3 (out in Japan since 2012) will be released on the PlayStation network as soon as this Tuesday, December 8.
Yakuza Zero is a prequel to the rest of the Yakuza games, an action-adventure series that has you taking control of Kazuma (in most titles), a yakuza who raises the orphan children whose parents he has killed. Yakuza Zero tells the story of Kazuma’s origins raised as one of these orphans, his relationship with his siblings, and his rise to become a yakuza.

No release date has been given yet for Yakuza Zero’s localization, but presumable we’ll see it sometime in 2016.
