PSX 2015: Relive The Beginning In Ratchet & Clank Remastered Footage

Ratchet & Clank has been around since the PS2. That is crazy to think about. The original game is something I used to be sneak away in the house to play for hours on end. While I was not looking to revisit the first game, I cannot lie that the remastering looks pretty amazing.

On stage, Insomniac let everyone relive that moment of Ratchet and Clank’s first meeting in their new fully HD model upgrades! The game is at an astounding level of graphical fidelity. Ratchet’s fur looks incredible. The detail around his colorization and fur is pretty incredible. There is a huge amount of detail in these games. I mean, look at the way the bolts attract to Ratchet and can be seen as each individual one!

It is still yet to be seen exactly how much a remake/remaster this game will be of the first game. After all it is a game named after a movie based on a game. Whether a remaster or a complete remake, it looks like this game will definitely be a return to the beginning and maybe back to the core of the Ratchet series. A series about hopes, about dreams, about unlikely heroes, and about the everyman hero of a robot and his lombax.

Ratchet & Clank, the game based on the movie based on the game, will be launching on PS4 April 12, 2016.
