Ubisoft premiered a new gameplay trailer for Far Cry Primal at The Game Awards 2015.
The gameplay trailer gave us some more insight into the prehistoric journey Ubisoft is planning this spring. Watch the video below or here.
In 10,000 B.C. you play as Takkar, the beast tamer. While names and pretty visuals are great, the biggest takeaway from the trailer is the inclusion of animal companions. Recent Far Cry titles have given us many incentives to hunt the creatures of the wild, but Far Cry Primal looks to also put a large focus on taming those creatures.
With spear and bow in hand you may be doing a lot of commanding to your wild companions. It looks like these creatures may include eagles, bears, wolves, and saber-toothed tigers.
You can watch the first reveal trailer here. Far Cry Primal is scheduled for release on February 23, 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC release is coming March 2016.
