43 – Pokedex 3D/Pokedex 3D Pro (Nintendo 3DS)

More an app than a game, Pokedex 3D and Pokedex 3D Pro are still worth a mention for being moderately useful. Pokedex 3D was offered for free for a limited time on the eShop before being replaced with an upgraded version, Pro, for a steep $15. The Pokedex is what it sounds like; a full on Pokedex with detailed info on every Pokemon in existence, including 3D models, sounds, an AR viewer, and a quiz mode. It also contains move sets, Hidden Abilities, and tons of other info useful for competitive battling and breeding. While the free version of the app took Pokedex data from Black and White 2 or Spotpass, Pokedex 3D Pro has most Pokemon available upon download save a few legendaries that can be unlocked.

Pokedex 3D Pro has its uses and does what it does well, but it is costly for its information, which can all be found for free on the Internet using the 3DS anyway. The appeal of this app lies in its neat organization and accessibility, but that may not be worth $15 to most.
