Walmart Black Friday Gaming Deals Guide

Walmart’s best deals are on a wide variety of video game titles, but you have to get there early before supplies run out.

Walmart Black Friday is always a great place to go for fairly generic deals on anything imaginable–from furniture to clothing to power tools to electronics. Though they don’t stand out as having anything remarkable or unique, Walmart’s 32-page ad promises hefty discounts on a number of games, along with the generic bundles we’ve been seeing everywhere else. Plus, if you’re looking to pick up a new TV or other electronics to game on, Walmart is a solid bet to find everything you need in one location. They open at 6pm on Thanksgiving, November 26th, though, so you’ll be sacrificing some holiday time if you want to make sure you get your hands on what you want.

First, the console bundles. The only unique item sticking out here is the Nintend 3DS XL bundle with Super Mario 3D Land pre-installed. Not the New Nintendo 3DS, but still a pretty nice deal if you haven’t gotten into handheld gaming this gen:

  • PlayStation 4 Uncharted Bundle – $299.00 (down from $349.99)
  • Wii U Super Smash Bros and Splatoon Deluxe Set – $249.00
  • Nintendo 3DS XL with Super Mario 3D Land – $129.00
  • Xbox One 500 GB Gears of War Bundle (Includes $30 Walmart Gift Card) – $299.00 (one hour guarantee on this one, it will likely be gone or at a higher price if you’re not there right when they open)

They’ve also got memberships and controllers for the systems on the cheap:

  • PlayStation Plus 3-month subscription – $10.00
  • Xbox Live Gold 3-month Membership – $12.50
  • Sony Dualshock 4 Controller or Xbox One Black Wireless Controller – $39.00

Walmart also has some decent deals on TVs and laptops that are worth looking at. There are more available than listed here, of course, but these were the highlights from the ad:

  • 50″ Class HDTV – $269.00
  • 40″ Class HDTV – $149.00
  • VIZIO 70″ Class Smart HDTV – $898
  • Hisense 55″ Class Smart 4K UHD TV – $448
  • HP Black 15.6″ 15-f209wm Laptop PC with Intel Celeron N2840 Processor, 4GB Memory, 500GB hard Drive and Windows 10 Home – $199.00 (down from $279.00)
  • HP 17.3″ AMD Laptop – A6 Quad-Core, 4GB Memory, 500 GB Harddrive – $299.00

Finally, by far Walmart’s best selection is in video games themselves. All titles listed below are available for all their respective systems in theory, though stock may vary from store to store:

  • Guitar Hero Live – $69.00 (down from $99.96)
  • LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack – $79.00 (down from $99.96)
  • Call of Duty Black Ops III (PS3 or Xbox 360) – $29.00 (down from$49.80)
  • Over 40 titles for $35.00 apiece, including:
    • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

    • Mario Party 10
    • Super Smash Bros. (3DS)
    • Mad Max
    • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
    • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
    • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
    • Splatoon
    • Bloodborne
  • Over 30 titles for $15.00 apiece, including:
    • Evolve
    • Far Cry 4 Complete Edition
    • Dishonored Definitive Edition
    • Gears of War Ultimate Edition
    • Wolfenstein: The new Order
    • Minecraft
    • Final Fantasy X/X-2
  • Over 40 more titles for $8.00 apiece
  • Select games for $27:
    • FIFA 16
    • Madden NFL 16
    • NBA 2K16

Walmart also guarantees that if you bring in a printed ad for a local competitor’s identical product, they will match the ad, with the exception of 1-hour guarantee items. If another store is out of stock of something else and offered a cheaper price while it was in stock, it may be worth checking Walmart to see if you can get it for the same or less.
