GameStop Black Friday Gaming Deals Guide

facebooktwitterreddit

GameStop has bundle deals for casual and elite gamers, alike.

When thinking of Black Friday deals on games and consoles, GameStop will always spring immediately to mind perhaps before other stores that might be full of shoppers after other items, and in the past they’ve been known for their solid deals on consoles. GameStop Black Friday discounts are a bit skimpier this year than in the past, with an obvious skew toward Xbox One deals, though some PlayStation 4 bundles and games can be found for cheaper too. If you’re a Nintendo fan, you should probably just stay home.

GameStop opens at 5am on Black Friday morning, November 27th, with most deals good through Sunday (though limited quantities may cut some of them off prematurely).

We’ll start with the console bundles and deals, where Xbox One takes most of the glory:

  • Xbox One 500 GB + Gears of War Ultimate Bundle – $299.99 (down from $349.99)
  • Xbox One 1TB Elite Bundle, Includes 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive + Xbox Elite Wireless Controller – $449.99 (down from $499.99)
  • Xbox One 1TB Holiday Value Bundle, Includes 1TB system, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay, Ori and the Blind Forest (digital) – $349.99 (down from $399.99)
  • PlayStation 4 500GB + Uncharted Collection Bundle – $299.99 (down from $349.99)

  • New Nintendo 3DS XL – $179.99 (down from $199.99)

That’s…it for systems and console bundles, actually. Not even a decent Wii U bundle to round things out, and only the one for PlayStation. If you’ve already got a console lined up, though, there’s plenty of deals on games to keep you stocked with things to play through and beyond the holiday, again with a noticeable lean toward Xbox One games and merchandise:

If none of the big recent titles are your cup of tea, GameStop promises great details on pre-owned games and systems, too, so it’s worth dropping in to check out an individual store’s stock for good deals. Some games may be down to as low as $9.99, and trade-ins will offer double the Power Up points on Sunday and Monday if you have a stock of games you’re waiting to trade in. It may just help take the edge off that Christmas spending.
