Today’s Nintendo Direct kicked off with an exciting announcement: after weeks of rumors, we finally have confirmation that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, is coming to Wii U on March 4, 2016.

Twilight Princess HD will include enhanced visuals, but there’s more–they’ve made a Wolf Link amiibo to be compatible with the title, along with six other amiibo that already exist: Link, Toon Link, Sheik, Ganon, and Zelda. It’s unknown as of yet what functionality these amiibo would have in-game, but they did say that data saved to the Wolf Link amiibo in Twilight Princess will be transferrable in some way to the upcoming Legend of Zelda for Wii U (which, by the way, is still coming out on some vague date in 2016). There are apparently other new features that will exist in the game as well, but we don’t know any details as of yet.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be available as a bundle with the Wolf Link amiibo. You can pre-order the game starting today, and pre-orders will receive the soundtrack as a bonus. Hopefully Twilight Princess’s appearance will appropriately herald the upcoming Wii U Zelda game…though admittedly the Nintendo lineup is getting a bit remaster-heavy. Still, Twilight Princess was well-enjoyed in its time on the GameCube and Wii, so fans should enjoy its story in better visual detail on the Wii U.
