Chicago Blackhawks
Despite the departures of fan favorites such as Patrick Sharp, the Chicago Blackhawks had another impressive year as they set out to defend the Stanley Cup.
You won’t be surprised to hear that Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane were the top points scorers for the year, finishing with a massive 91 and 83 points respectively, with Kane easily leading the team in goals (47). Marián Hossa would have been the best player on nearly any other team after finishing with 31 goals and 43 assists, while Teuvo Teräväinen also had a notably good season.
In defense, Duncan Keith grabbed 57 assists and earned himself the James Norris Trophy in the process, while new addition Trevor Daley also had an excellent season, contributing with 41 assists. Corey Crawford was excellent between the pipes, averaging at just over 2 GAA and a SV% of .927.
