Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh occupied second place in the division this year, with Crosby having somewhat of a quiet year by his standards, scoring 31 goals and making 38 assists. He was still the top scorer in the team however, despite Evgeni Malkin’s 30 goals and 37 assists. New man Phil Kessel was the leader in assists among the offense, enjoying an excellent season in which he chipped in with 22 goals. New addition Nick Bonino also had an impressive year.

The Penguins made a surprise move for Dany Heatley mid-season, who went on to score 15 points for the Pens.

Kris Letang was the star man in defense, finishing with 12 goals and 46 assists, making him the top assists scorer for the team. Derrick Pouliot also had a season to remember, proving a formidable wall in the Pittsburgh defense.

Marc-André Fleury was excellent in net with a GAA of 2.1 and a SV% of .927, while Zatkoff was also brilliant in his absence with a SV% of .928, as the Penguins marched forward to the playoffs once again.
