Arizona Coyotes

Arizona’s group of young talent were unable to make a push for the playoffs this year as they finished rock bottom of the entire league.

Their top points scorer was defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson who managed to grab 68 points for the season, with a whopping 60 of those points coming via assists. Arizona’s top goalscorer was Mikkel Boedker with 25 goals, while new acquisitions Antoine Vermette and Steve Downie managed to contribute with 21 goals a piece.

Despite Arizona’s offensive positivity, they leaked goals in defense. In net, Mike Smith improved on last year’s performance with a GAA of 2.790 and a SV% of .913, but with Ekman-Larsson proving to be the only highlight in the Coyotes’ back line, the team struggled once again, sitting at the bottom of the division (and the league) for the majority of the season.
