The Flyers missed out on a playoff place despite a late push at the end of the season. Standout performances from Claude Giroux and Jakub Voráček, who topped the goal and assist charts respectively, were unable to lift the Flyers any higher than 6th.
Mark Streit and Michael Del Zotto created a number of assists from defense, but their plus-minus records were poor. Wayne Simmonds had a very good season, although Vincent Lecavalier was absent, barely registering on the scoresheet at all.
Steve Mason struggled in net, finishing with a SV% of .914, as the Flyers finished the season in 18th place in the league.
