Columbus Blue Jackets

You just knew that Columbus had the potential to reach the playoffs this year after their stunning run of form towards the end of the 2014/15 season, and they did it, sneaking into the playoffs in fifth place. Ryan Johansen led the pack with 27 goals and 42 assists, while Nick Foligno grabbed 39 assists from left wing. Ryan Murray and Jack Johnson also contributed with a barrage of assists from defense.

Scott Hartnell and Cam Atkinson topped the 20-goal mark for the season, while new acquisition Brandon Saad was one of the only downsides to the team, failing to live up to expectations, although the mid-season addition of Lee Stempniak didn’t add much to the team either.

Sergei Bobrovsky didn’t perform to the same heights as his teammates, giving up an average of 2.5 goals per game with a fairly poor save percentage, and Ray Emery was brought into the team as an emergency backup but finished with one of the lowest save percentages in the league.
