Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes clinched their first playoff birth in years after finishing fourth in a very tough division. This was largely thanks to Jeff Skinner, Eric Staal, Justin Faulk, and Elias Lindholm who all racked up 60 points or more, with Skinner leading the way in goals (34) and Lindholm in assists (50).

James Wisniewski also had an excellent first season in Carolina’s defensive lineup, contributing with 42 assists.

Eddie Lack’s arrival proved to be a success as he finished with a GAA of 2.3 and a SV% of .920. Cam Ward was Carolina’s backup this season, playing only 24 games and winning half of them, while Drew MacIntyre was also impressive when called upon.
