Toronto Maple Leafs

After an off-season filled with changes including the addition of Mike Babcock, Toronto missed out on the playoffs again despite a strong start that petered off halfway through the season.

James Van Riemsdyk and Mike Reilly were the two highlight performers for the team this year, although Joffrey Lupul also managed to grab over 60 points for the team. The Leafs missed the presence of Phil Kessel, as the rest of the team failed to contribute in a big way.

New acquisitions Shawn Matthias and Daniel Winnik had fairly respectable seasons, while Tyler Bozak and Jake Gardiner also impressed defensively. Jonathan Bernier didn’t fare so well in net, and James Reimer and Christopher Gibson also had short stints between the pipes, with Gibson faring particularly poorly.
