Our MLB 2015 Predictions Simulation From MLB 15: The Show
Milwaukee Brewers
Where there’s smoke, there’s Fiers. Mike Fiers, in fact, was the one to lead the Brewers pitching staff for most of the season with a 3.19 ERA, 212 innings, 1.19 WHIP and a blistering 227 strikeouts. Wily Pertalta, Matt Garza and Kyle Lohse were all great as a team, keeping their ERA at about 3.62. But it was the mid-season acquisition of James Shields that really turned things around for the Brew Crew, as his 2.39 ERA, 29 quality starts, 6 complete games, 1.09 WHIP and just 16 home runs allowed that help normalize things as the season ended. They didn’t make the playoffs, but this team sure keeps things interesting.
It looks like Ron Roenicke wasn’t taking notes when the team acquired Adam Lind this offseason, as he played the most amount of games on the team. Even against left-handed pitching, his ultimate crux! He did manage to get on base a ton (.374), walk a lot (72 times), provide mid-range power (17 home runs, 23 doubles) in doing so. It was Ryan Braun who continued to strive to play like he once did, with 33 home runs and a .857 OPS doing the trick. Meanwhile, Jonathan Lucroy continues to hit unlike any other catcher, with a team-best .871 OPS, .497 slugging percentage and 27 doubles.
