Our MLB 2015 Predictions Simulation From MLB 15: The Show
What Rangers fans should have been seeing a lot of this year.
Texas Rangers
Lots of injuries to the starting rotation plague the Rangers season in both real life and in-game, with guys like Colby Lewis, Ross Detwiler and Matt Harrison having to step it up. They did not, and the team’s 3.90 ERA showed just an average corps of pitchers. Neftali Feliz wasn’t even lights out as a closer, despite his 39 saves. He blew 8 opportunities, and Shawn Tolleson blew 5 of his own. No starter had a WHIP below 1.35, which should tell you a lot about the likes of Yovani Gallardo and Derek Holland’s roles as leaders.
Despite the Reds trading for Bautista, he ended up with the Rangers and took advantage of their perfect dinger conditions. He bashed 42 HR’s, had 124 RBI’s to bring in, tripled 3 times and stole 5 bases. 180 total hits is pretty great, too. The 2015 MLB season seemed to be a new page turned for Texas, as Shin-Soo Choo, Adrian Beltre, Wilson Ramos and Prince Fielder all had 20 or more home runs each. It came at the expense of speed, as the team totalled 34. But hey, when you can afford to trot around the bases 203 times as a team, it doesn’t matter how fast you run.
