Chicago White Sox

The White Sox were quick to rebuild this year, and the pitching staff showed it most. Outside of the excellence of Chris Sale and John Danks (?), the next three games started leaders were less impressive. The Shark got traded away, so Jose Quintana’s 5.17 ERA, Hector Noesi’s 5.72 ERA and Erik Johnson’s 5.48 ERA stood out in a particularly bad fashion. However, David Robertson struck out 80 batters in 49.2 innings, which is just bonkers. Still not as bonkers as giving multi-year, halfway-to-nine-digits contracts to relievers, though. Nothing will be.

Not only did Ben Revere get traded to the White Sox, but this year he hit 5 home runs. That means he’s on pace to more than double his career HR output this year alone, which seems unfair when you have 61 SB speed. Jose Abreu only made it to 110 games, yet he still managed to smack 35 home runs in 2015. Also, Josh Reddick was traded to the White Sox, but the change of scenery did little to bolster his numbers to match his potential. Conor Gillaspie continues to exist somehow.
