AOL might be shutting down the gaming news websiteJoystiqas part of its large-scale reorganization. The news wasfirst reported by Recodeandfollowed by Kotaku. The discussion moved over to Twitter, with many commenters onJoystiq‘s website wondering about the authenticity of the rumors.

Joystiqstarted in 2004 and it became a part of AOL a year later, withEngadgetandAutoblog. Current editor-in-chief, Ludwig Kietzmann, has been leading the website after Chris Grant left in 2011 to foundPolygon.
There have been no confirmed reports from AOL.
