Wii titles downloadable on Wii U eShop

Wii titles are being re-released for digital download in the Wii U eShop, Nintendo has announced during today’s Nintendo Direct livestream.

Super Mario Galaxy 2, one of Nintendo’s most popular titles, will be available for download on eShop after the presentation. Punch Out!! will be available for digital download starting January 22, followed by the Metroid Prime Trilogy on January 29.

The Wii titles will be released at half the price in their first week of digital release. Wii titles that used the Classic Controller will also be made compatible with the Wii U’s Game Pad.
