Kirby And The Rainbow Curse Release Date Pushed Back
During this morning’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that the Kirby and the Rainbow Curse release date has been moved, as well as some new information about the gameplay itself and Amiibo compatibility. The new release date for Rainbow Curse is February 20th, back a week from the 13th, likely to make room for the New 3DS release.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse will include tons of collectables, including hidden treasure chests, in-game figurines, and songs to listen to. Some of these treasure chests will be difficult to get at, as you have a limited amount of ink on each stage and may run out at crucial times. This limited amount of ink is also important on certain stages which may not have any ground, so that running out results in a loss.
Earlier it was announced that Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight Amiibos would all be compatible with Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Each Amiibo can be used once a day to provide a unique power up to Kirby. Using a Kirby Amiibo allows you to use his Star Dash whenever you like, without having to collect enough stars to do so. The King Dedede Amiibo gives Kirby his hat and six health bars, instead of four. The Meta Knight Amiibo increases Kirby’s tap dash speed, so that he can charge through weak enemies with ease.
