Toys R Us Black Friday Deals: Wide, Vague Selection
If you manage to wade through the barbies, Elmo dolls, and playhouses of the Toys R Us ad, two small spotlights near the back of the ad highlight the few gaming deals they have. With pretty sad bundles on consoles and few accessories, Toys R Us probably isn’t going to be your main destination for gaming this Black Friday. Shopping gaming there, however, has exactly two advantages: the first is the generality of the sale. Their sales apply to a wide range of games, so you’re not limited to two or three specific games to score a deal. Second, you will likely have less competition than at other big gaming sites. Toys R Us opens pretty early–5pm on Thursday. Here’s what you can get:
A PS4 Bundle that is identical to every other darn PS4 bundle out there, with one catch. For $399.99 you can get a PS4 with Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us, OR you can get it with Little Big Planet 3 and LEGO Batman 3.
XboxOne with Kinect for $429.99…but no games.
XboxOne with Assassin’s Creed: Unity for $329.99. Both of their XboxOne deals are showed up majorly by other retailers.
Nintendo 3DS XL with Mario Party: Island Tour for $179.99. If Mario Party’s your game of choice for the 3DS, might be worth picking up here. Other retailers have other games in the 3DS bundle.
Buy One, Get One 40% off on games including the following:
- Super Smash Bros (Wii U)
- Super Smash Bros (3DS)
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (360)
- W2K15 (360)
- NHL 15 (PS4)
- Destiny (PS4)
- Shadow of Mordor (XboxOne)
- Madden 15 (XboxOne)
- FIFA 15 (XboxOne)
- And many others
Buy One, Get One $2 on tons of mostly-meh last-gen titles.
Annnndd…that’s it. So, uh, stop by Toys R Us, I guess, if any of that if what you’re dying to get, but there’s nothing super stellar there.
