In today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo introduced a remake of the popular, highly-desired, and previously teased Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3DS. The game will become available for both Nintendo 3DS and 2DS in Spring of 2015. A more specific date has not yet been announced.

Most of the screenshots and gameplay videos shown were in the same old-school style as Majora’s Mask, touched up yet old-school, but seems to be identical to the same Majora’s Mask fans have long awaited a remake for. The teaser image shown previously by Nintendo that hinted to fans a remake was on the way was highly-detailed, though, so perhaps we’ll be able to explore Clock Town in even more glorious 3D beauty. Nintendo has done an amazing job bringing The Legend of Zelda to the 3DS, making full use of the touch screen and other features to bring novelty to the series, so it will be interesting to see what they change, if any, in the remake.

We’ll keep covering all the news out of this Nintendo Direct, so stay tuned to GameSided for the latest!
