#2: Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

I’m certainly not the first to say this, but it bears repeating – Four Swords Adventures was an amazing game, and the unique setup of the Wii U is perfect for bringing cooperative Zelda back to the masses. The biggest problem with Four Swords Adventures is how difficult it was to actually find four friends with Game Boy Advances and GBA-to-Gamecube connector cords – once you did it the game was brilliant fun, but it (almost) never happened. With online play now a real possibility, however, this is no longer a problem: four friends with their Game Pads can all traverse in and out of dungeons independently, allowing for even more clever puzzles and combat situations. One caveat, however: it would be far too easy for mean-spirited strangers to troll the cooperative experience, so perhaps this is would be an instance where friend-code only play would actually be a good thing.
