This game was mostly dominated by Houston, a Ryan Fitzpatrick interception and muffed punt in the second quarter almost cost them the victory. Indianapolis turned those two turnovers into 14 of their 17 points, and were close to stealing this game away from Houston.
J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney combined for five sacks, and the constant pressure on Andrew Luck prevented the Colts offense from ever getting started. Trent Richardson’s 1.6 yards per carry on the ground didn’t help things either.
Houston leaned on it’s ground game throughout this game. Arian Foster finished with 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This allowed Fitzpatrick to settle down after his early interception to complete 18 of his 27 passes for 192 yards.
