This game can be summed up as a battle of big plays vs grind it out drives. Chicago’s three touchdown drives consisted of 14, 15 and 18 plays. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s three touchdowns in regular were all Matt Ryan passes of 44, 46, and 68 yards, all to Julio Jones.
As you might expect from those stats, the real stars in this game were Ryan, Jones and Matt Forte. Forte finished with 152 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Ryan has 339 though the air.
It seems fitting that after both teams punted once in overtime, Ryan hit Jones again. This time it was a 56-yard touchdown to give the Falcons the win.
