Natsume has announced that Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley for Nintendo 3DS will be coming to North America on November 4, Siliconera reports. It will cost $29.99. A European release is slated for 2015.

The Lost Valley follows the trend of past Harvest Moon games in that it allows you to play as either a male or female coming to live on a new farm. You can raise animals, plant crops, and befriend the neighbors. The Lost Valley implements newer features as well, such as automatic tool use (instead of having to select the correct tool from the bag) and automatic item pickup.

Furthermore, what distinguishes The Lost Valley from other Harvest Moon games is its “Minecraft-esque” features. The player can shape his or her farmland by raising or lowering land, moving bodies of water around, and more. These movements will have an effect on how well crops grow, and can allow the player to reach new areas that were otherwise inaccessible.

The Lost Valley is described as the first fully-3D Harvest Moon game. It will be interesting to see if this game is able to surprise us with its use of the 3DS’s capabilities, or if it will merely look nicer than previous games.
